About us
Operating since 1999, we are a certification body of organic production authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Policies for Italy and by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) for Romania. We are a Control and Certification Body of the organic production method pursuant to Reg. CE 834/07 and Reg. CE 889/08.
Bios accreditation
We are an Accredia accredited certification body of organic production. Accredia is the only accreditation body in Italy with the task of certifying the competence, independence and impartiality of certification / inspection / verification bodies and testing and calibration laboratories.
Precisely to maintain this accreditation we operate according to the criteria of the ISO / IEC 17065: 2012 standards.
Our work, in this sense, is constantly supervised by the CSI (Committee for Safeguarding Impartiality), the representative body of the parties having an interest in the certification activities carried out by Bios.
Our continuous training and the requests of many customers have led us to study regulations and reference standards of other countries outside the European Union. This allows us, operating in full compliance with the provisions of the various states, to issue any necessary certifications for organic products intended for those specific markets.

As a certification body of organic production we operate by verifying:
- compliance with the organic production method in compliance with the reference regulations (EC Reg. 834/2007 and related implementing rules as well as public or private rules and / or standards of foreign countries outside the European Union);
- the conformity of products, services or systems to technical standards or recognized regulatory documents.

Bios is able to documentally ensure that all personnel involved in the certification activity (for all levels of responsibility) are free from conflicts of interest in relation to the specific activity performed. We are constantly committed to guarantee absolute independence, and impartiality in the performance of all functions (proposing, deliberating, ratifying).

As a certification body of organic production, we care about quality: product quality, but also the quality of people.
collaborators are very important resources to us: this is why we try to enhance them by actively involving them in the internal organization and in relations with companies that require our certification services.
The members of our team periodically follow training and / or refresher courses, in order to be always up to date with the regulations, requests and needs of the markets.
For the analysis we use the collaboration of experts operating in accredited / qualified testing laboratories.
